Composition
ITA ND+IB+EDS is an inactivated vaccine containing a combination of the LA SOTA strain of the Newcastle disease virus, the MASSACHUSETTS strain of the Infectious Bronchitis virus, and the B8/78 strain of the EDS virus, in an inactivated form with an emulsified adjuvant and the preservative merthiolate.
Indications
ITA ND+IB+EDS vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of the parental stock of broilers and laying hens, previously vaccinated with a live attenuated vaccine against Newcastle disease and Infectious Bronchitis.
Dosage and Administration
The ITA ND+IB+EDS vaccine stimulates an immune response against the pathogens causing Infectious Bronchitis, Newcastle disease, and the egg drop syndrome in hens, 28 days after the first and only administration. This immunity lasts for the entire productive period of the bird.
- Administer the vaccine 3-4 weeks before laying, at the age of 16-20 weeks.
- Inject subcutaneously in the neck or intramuscularly in the chest at a dose of 0.5 ml per bird.
- The vaccine is harmless, but it does not have therapeutic properties.
General Precautions
- A positive result can only be obtained in healthy birds.
- Use sterile equipment for injection.
- Before vaccination, the vaccine should be kept at room temperature (15-25°C) for 3-4 hours.
- Adjust the syringe to the necessary dose to administer it correctly.
- An opened vial should be used within 24 hours of opening.
Special Warnings
- Do not mix the vaccine with other vaccines or medications.
- In case of accidental injection of the operator, seek medical assistance immediately.
- Shake the vial before use.
- Avoid freezing the product.
- If any adverse reactions occur, contact the certificate holder and/or the National Food Safety Agency.
Storage
- Store at temperatures between +2°C and +8°C.
- Protect from direct sunlight.
- Keep away from freezing.
