Paradox® is a post-emergent systemic herbicide, used to control weeds especially in:
- soybean
- peas
- sunflower (Clearfield hybrids)
- imidazolinone-tolerant rapeseed
👉 It is a very popular product in Clearfield technologies.
⚗️ Active substance
- Imazamox – 120 g/l
👉 It belongs to the group:
- imidazolinone (ALS inhibitors)
🎯 Combat spectrum
Controls:
- monocotyledonous weeds (beard grass, ragweed, wild oats)
- dicotyledonous weeds (ragweed, ragweed, ragwort, wild mustard)
👉 including some more difficult and partly perennial weeds.
⚙️ Mode of action
- Systemic → absorbed through leaves and roots
- It moves in the plant
- Inhibits the synthesis of essential amino acids → stops weed growth
👉 Effect:
- stop growing within a few hours
- symptoms in 5–7 days
- complete drying in 2–3 weeks
