Medomycin 35, produced by Medmac, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic primarily used for the prevention and treatment of respiratory and digestive diseases in animals, including poultry, swine, and ruminants. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, and Haemophilus spp.
Dosage:
- For poultry: 20–30 mg per kg of body weight in drinking water for 5–7 days.
- For swine: 10 mg per kg of body weight in drinking water for 5 days.
Withdrawal Period:
- Swine: Approximately 17 days.
- Poultry: Approximately 21 days.
During and after the treatment period, animals treated with Medomycin 35 must not be slaughtered for human consumption.
Contraindications:
- Avoid administering Medomycin 35 to animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
- It is also contraindicated for pregnant or lactating sows.
